For each state in which a bird photo appears, click on that part of the map to see a photo (generally half-sized) of a bird of special interest that I took while visiting there. For other states, there are brief notes on when I traveled there.
* Some bird photos (marked with asterisks) were re-oriented to fit within the state lines.
NOTE: "Several" means 5-9, and "many" means at least 10. My first (and only) visit to the west coast was in 1987, which was also my first visit to Canada. As of 2014, which was my first visit to New Mexico and Arizona, I have visited all 48 contiguous states, although Louisiana may not count.
