I went to my first game at Dodger Stadium with my dad in 1983. It was an incredible experience. I've gone to at least one game every year since about 1987 (excepting '95 when I was mad because of the strike the previous year) and the beauty of the stadium still floors me. The noticeable changes started in 1991 when they padded the outfield wall with a darker blue. When Fox bought the team, a variety of changes occured including the murals on the outfield wall (not bad), rubberized track (awful), and new seating (was crammed in and it showed). When McCourt took over, the advertising seems toned down a bit, the seats were returned to their original colors (before I was born) and the track is dirt (like God intended) again. The padding on the wall was returned to the original fence color. I can honestly say that the Stadium looks better than it has in years!

Despite my frustration with the sale of the Dodgers, and despite the fact that I no longer live in SoCal, going to Dodger Stadium with my dad, hearing Vin Scully banter alternatively about the game and Farmer John bacon, watching the sun set ever so slowly in the background, these are some of the fondest memories of my youth. Couple that with the old Dodger Blue (think Ron Cey, Bill Russell, Davey Lopes, Steve Garvey, Steve Yeager, Dusty Baker, etc) vs the Big Red Machine, and you've got my memories of Dodger Stadium in a nutshell. The picture on the website does a great job of capturing the scenery there. Thank you so much for this!
