Spring training!

Pitchers and catchers will report to spring training camps in Florida and Arizona as early as tomorrow, and other players will report beginning February 16. (Different teams have different schedules.) Outside my window, however, it is presently snowing! Practice games will commence later this month, and the first official Major League game will be held on March 25, when Seattle and Oakland will play in Japan. The official Opening Day will be March 31, however. The poor Expos will play yet another year in limbo up in Montreal, plus 22 "home" games in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Let's hope Bud Selig can put an end to this travesty and get the relocation issue resolved as soon as possible.
